This is a residential hostel with private suites. There is no kitchen or kitchenette. It is not an apartment.
The space
The historic main building reveals a rich and quirky past, which began about 150 years ago with a manor house and was also a school and used as a hospital when the local population needed health services.
Currently, Valley Residence has several suites with all the amenities of the XXI century, designed to make the stay as pleasant as possible. Guests also have at their disposal a restaurant, swimming pool (outdoors / outdoors in summer and covered/heated in winter), bar and leisure facilities in the main building or in the magnificent gardens. At the Residence Valley children are welcome, and there is also a room specially prepared for guests with mobility difficulties.

I have rarely encountered such friendly and obliging staff. The setting is beautiful and peaceful and it’s central location means that all areas of the island are accessible after only an hour or so drive. The food is very good with an on-site chef and the choice is varied and will appeal to all tastes. The staff is extremely professional and the readiness to help with any of the ordinary requests has been refreshing. We came along during the new year celebrations and despite this very busy time, the extremely busy staff are always smiling and eager to please. This is a great place to stay. We are looking to return.
São Vicente is a pretty town village with a lot of nature and 3 minutes to the beach.
